That single word from Zan caused quite a stir among your party. It seems the warmth and grace that Daiana exuded had kindled something deep inside of him.
“I am NOT your mother,” Daiana replied.
“And if you truly are a man, I suggest you act with a little more dignity.”
But that was the worst way she could have responded,for this stern attitude only reminded him that much more of his mother and strengthened his longing for his homeland. Perhaps it was how he constantly lived life on the edge that intensified his desire for a place to call home.
