其實我的英文有點瀕臨被當邊緣
只是剛好以前有看過pe1的劇情，於是就拿著字典邊查邊翻了
所以我一整天下來能翻好1篇就很不錯了...QQ"
我想英文能力真正強的人看我翻的一些句子大概會看到想吐吧?

不過第二篇總算也翻完了...不嫌棄的話就看看吧!


D A Y 2 - F U S I O N

The impression of the tragedy in Christmas Eve makes Aya say weird
things in the interview with the press. But then she hears about Hans
Klamp - a Mitochondria researcher, working at Museum of Natural History
who might know something about what she needs. But it seems this guy
doesn't want to tell her more necessary things than the fairly
unimportant basics. He is not just an ordinary researcher in this
incident...
As Melissa's diary, this mysterious actress has another show at the
concert in Central Park - where Daniel's family is watching. Daniel is
feared and then immediately he goes to the Central Park with his partner
Aya Brea. But as we know, ordinary people are all ignited in Eve's
cycle, and Aya is the only exception. Then Aya must be the people who
has to do everything with Eve by herself, even for Daniel...
聖誕夜的悲劇所造成的影響讓艾雅在記者的採訪中說了些奇怪的話。
然而後來她聽到了有關漢斯˙克蘭普這名粒線體研究員的事，
目前在自然史博物館裡工作的他或許會曉得一些艾雅需要的資料。
可惜這傢伙除了一些完全不重要基本原理外，似乎一點也不想告訴艾雅任何有用的情報。
但在這次的事件中，他似乎並不單純只是個普通的研究員…
根據梅麗莎在日記中提到，這位謎樣的女演員還有另一場音樂會將在中央公園舉行，
而丹尼爾的家人也到那地方看表演了。
丹尼爾擔心極了，他立刻就和他的夥伴艾雅˙布雷亞趕到了中央公園。
不過就如我們所知道的，在Ｅｖｅ的結界裡所有的凡人都會燃燒起來。只有艾雅例外。
艾雅只能靠她自己來對付Ｅｖｅ了…

Daniel : Hey, you OK ? You ought be resting.
丹尼爾：艾雅，妳還好吧？妳該好好休息一下了。

Aya : Wish I could, but I'm the only one who knows what happened last
night.
艾雅：我也很想，不過誰叫我是唯一曉得那晚的事的人呢……

Daniel : I've been gathering some info on Melissa. She's got no
relatives and no close friends. She was sick often-always on some kind
of medication. The people at the opera said they were amazed she could
even stand on stage. Her apartment burned down right after the incident,
so we have no info on her medication.
丹尼爾：我查了一些有關梅麗莎的資料……她是個沒有親戚也沒什麼朋友的人，
　　　　而且因為有一些疾病所以長期接受藥療。老實說那個劇院裡的人都很驚訝她居能
　　　　上台甚至苦練這麼久。另外她住的公寓也在這次事件後燒掉了，所以我們大概沒有
　　　　線索去調查她所吃的藥了
　　　　

Nix : So what's this spontaneous combustion stuff all about ?
尼克斯：那麼這次的騷動就是這種藥物引起的囉？

Aya : It wasn't exactly spontaneous. People were actually set on fire.
艾雅：事情沒有那麼簡單，那時候的人們根本是自己燒起來。

Warner : Oh, come on ! What, like one of those ESP things ?
華納：噢，少來了！難道妳是指像超能力之類的東西嗎？

Aya : That's the best way to describe it for now.
艾雅：至少這是目前為止最好的解釋方法了。

Warner : ESP, huh ? Well I'm not buying it.
華納：唔，超能力是吧？我才不信這一套呢。

Nix : But if you're right, how are we supposed to deal with something
like that ?
尼克斯：但如果艾雅妳是對的，我們要如何才能證明像這一類的怪事呢？

Daniel : I believe her. After all, Aya's the only witness so far. But
if you're gonna take on a suspect like that, you'd better ask Baker for
a better sidearm.
丹尼爾：我相信她。畢竟艾雅才是至今唯一的目擊者。不過如果妳打算就以這種想法作為推
　　　　斷的話，最好還是先去問問貝克有沒有其他意見吧。

Aya goes to see Baker.
艾雅：那就去找貝克吧。

Baker : I read your report...Still hard to believe, but we can't deny
all those deaths. We're going to go all out to solve this case. Make
sure you're well equiped. Go down to the weapons department and give
this permit to Torres. He'll help you out. (Baker gives her the Mod
Permit.)
貝克：我看過妳的報告了…雖然讓人難以置信，但我們也不能否定這種死因，
　　　我們會盡可能去查明這件案子的。對了，妳先去確認一下自己的裝備是不是在最佳狀
　　　態吧。拿這張許可證到樓下的武器管理室去找多雷斯，他就會幫妳處理了。

Aya goes down to Weapon Department which is under care of Torres Owens
and Wayne Garcia.
艾雅來到了位於地下一樓的武器管理室，那地方是由多雷斯和偉恩負責管理的。

Wayne : Heeey there, good-looking !
偉恩：嗨，那邊的美女！

Aya : Cut the crap, Wayne. Where's Torres ?
艾雅：別鬧了，偉恩！多雷斯人呢？

Wayne : That baldy ? Who knows. So what'll it be... Shotgun ? Rocket
Launcher ?
偉恩：妳說禿頭老爹啊？誰知道！……那妳想要些啥呢？獵槍？還是火箭筒？

Torres : WAYNE ! (Torres is slowly coming...)
多雷斯：偉恩！！(多雷斯緩緩地走了進來)

Wayne : Y, yes, sir !
偉恩：呃、是的，長官！

Torres : Idiots like you are the reason why guns won't disappear from
this country ! Get your ass back to weapons storage ! You're far from
ready to be handling guns in here.
多雷斯：就是因為有你這種蠢小子在，槍枝濫用才會氾濫得這麼嚴重！
　　　　把你那些蠢念頭帶回武器存放庫去想吧！
　　　　別忘了你還得準備很長一段時間才可以來這裡處理槍枝。
　　　　

Wayne : OK, OK... Sheesh... (Wayne comes out...)
偉恩：好啦好啦……囉囉唆唆……

Aya : Torres, I need some equipment...
艾雅：多雷斯，我需要換一些配備……

Torres : For last night's case ? Heard it was quite a mess. But as
long as cops rely on guns, criminals will too. It's a vicious cycle. I
hate to hand a weapon to a young cop like you... But I hear this isn't
your ordinary crook. Guess I can't send you off empty-handed.
多雷斯：為了昨晚的案子對吧？聽說那真是一場災難啊。不過警察可以靠槍行事，
　　　　那些罪犯也同樣可以……只能說這個時代太黑暗了。其實我實在不喜歡將武器交給
　　　　像妳這樣年輕的警察…但我已經聽說妳要對付的是個不尋常的敵人了，我想我也不
　　　　好就這麼讓妳空手而回。　

Torres finds a gun and then gives it to Aya...
多雷斯找出了一把槍並交給艾雅…

Torres : Here... This is the most powerful gun I can allow you to
have. (He hands her the M16A1) The captain Baker already notified me.
Show me your modification permit again.
多雷斯：吶…這是一把很有威力的槍，我就交給妳吧。(他交給艾雅槍枝－M16A1)
　　　　貝克署長也已經先支會過我了，再把改造許可證給我一下吧。

(If you gives him the Mod Permit...)

Torres : Which gun ?
多雷斯：哪一把槍？

(Choose the weapon you wish to modify...)

Torres : All right... Just wait here.
多雷斯：好…請在這等一等。

(When he finishes his modification...)

Torres : All set. But just remember, "Cops own guns for protection.
Don't let the guns own you !".
多雷斯：都弄好了。妳要記住，”警察擁有槍來保護自己，但不要讓槍支配了妳！”

Wayne : Psst ! Don't tell Torres, but you can use your "Tool" to tune
up your guns ! You can rearrange equipment parameters and added effects
to tweak your equipment. I can show ya some cool tune-up techniques !
(You can find this part in "Tutorial" menu of the game).
偉恩：噓！別跟多雷斯說哦，其實妳可以藉著使用工具來增強妳的槍枝，
　　　另外妳也可以重新調整那些配備的參數，將功能增加到妳自己的裝備上。

When returning to meet Baker, Aya sees Ben-Daniel's son on her way.
當艾雅正要回去找貝克，在途中遇到了丹尼爾的兒子班。

Aya : Hey there. You lost ?
艾雅：嘿、小弟弟，你迷路了嗎？

Ben :...Ahh
班：……嗯。

Daniel : Ben !?
丹尼爾：班！？

Ben : Daddy !
班：爸爸！

Aya : So this is Ben.
艾雅：原來你就是班呀？

Daniel : Ben, this is Aya. Now, what are you doing here ?
丹尼爾：班，這是艾雅。對了，你跑來這裡做什麼？

Ben : Here...(The child gets something from his pocket.)
班：這個…(小男孩自他的口袋裡拿了一些東西出來)

Daniel : Tickets ? Oh...yeah. The concert... Sorry son, daddy's really
busy today. I promise I'll make up for...
丹尼爾：票？噢噢…對了，是那場音樂會的票……
　　　　我很抱歉，兒子，但是爸爸今天真的很忙。我保證一定會再補償你的……

Ben : FINE !
班：隨便你了啦！

Daniel : Ben !
丹尼爾：班！

Ben runs away...
班跑走了……

Daniel : Guess every kid needs a mother...
丹尼爾：我想班需要個媽媽……

Aya : That's not true ! I was raised by my father too, after my mother
died. I'll always be grateful for him.
艾雅：那樣子想是不對的！在我還小的時後母親就過世了，
　　　所以我也是由父親一個人拉拔長大的。而即使到了現在我依然始終都很感激他……

Daniel : Yeah, well, his mother's still alive...
丹尼爾：或許吧…唉，至少他的母親還活著呢…

Aya must come back to see Baker now.
經過了這一段插曲後，艾雅知道她必須馬上去見貝克了

Aya : Sir.
艾雅：長官。
... ...

Aya : You were looking for me ?
艾雅：您找我嗎？

Baker : Yes. We're having a press conference now, and I want you there
too.
貝克：是的。我們有一場記者會馬上就要召開了，我希望妳能一起過去。

Aya : Me ?
艾雅：我？

Baker : That's right. You'll be on national television as the sole
survivor of that incident.
貝克：沒錯。妳將以那次事件的唯一倖存者的身分，在全國的電視節目上作一次說明。

Aya : I see.
艾雅：我了解了。

Baker : But you only answer when I ask you. The media is just looking
for anything to grill us about. They may even turn you into a suspect.
So you let me do the talking. Understood ?
貝克：不過妳只要在我問妳問題時才回答就好了。那些媒體一定會想盡辦法
　　　找出任何一絲小漏洞來找我們碴，若是嚴重的話甚至有可能會害妳變成嫌疑犯。
　　　所以一切的偵訊都交給我來處理就好了，妳明白了嗎？

Aya : Yes, sir...
艾雅：是的，長官…

Baker : OK then... Let's go meet the press.
貝克：很好。那麼…我們就去接見那些記者吧。

The meeting is held in the small hall.
於是記者會就在一間小型演講廳裡召開了。

Reporter : So you are saying this could be the work of a terrorist ?
記者：所以您的意思是，這次的事件很可能是恐怖份子幹的？

Baker : That is what we currently speculate.
貝克：這正是我們目前的推測。

Reporter : How about accounts of officers and firemen at the scene
bursting into flames ?
記者：那麼關於有許多員警和消防員都在案發現場突然燒起來一事，您有和解釋呢？

Aya : That was...
艾雅：那是因為……

Baker : That was due to a rare, highly flammable chemicals which was
used to start the fire.
貝克：那是因為恐怖份子使用了一種罕見的高度易燃化學物品，才會引發火災。

Reporter : Another question. Then how did Detective Brea survive
without so much as a minor burn ?
記者：請問另外一位，為何布雷亞調查官是幾乎完好無事的逃出來，只有受一點點燒傷？

Baker : This is a result of her quick thinking and training as an
officer...
貝克：這是由於她有身為警察的機智和身手……

Reporter : I'm asking her the question !
記者：我是在問她問題！

Baker : She...
貝克：她……

Aya : She said that my mitochondria were a mutation.
艾雅：她說過，這都是因為我的體內有著異變的粒線體！

Baker : Aya !
貝克：艾雅！

Reporter : Your...mitochondria ? Who said this ?
記者：妳的…粒線體？這是誰說的？

Aya : Melissa...No, she was Eve. But according to a reportm Melissa
Pearce was killed in the fire ! Melissa did die. Her body had been taken
over by this...Eve.
艾雅：梅麗莎…不，應該是Ｅｖｅ。梅麗莎已經在那場火災中被她體內的粒線體殺死了！
　　　現在她的身體已經被侵佔了，被…Ｅｖｅ。
(*關於reportm這個字我查不到意思......所以就用比較接近的解釋代替了)

Reporter : What's this Eve !? Some kind of an alien !?
記者：那個Ｅｖｅ究竟是什麼？是異變種嗎！？

Baker : People, please ! She is very tired, and we are still
investigating... That will be all for today.
貝克：拜託、各位！她真的是太累了…我們會繼續調查下去，今天就到此為止了！

Baker asks the cops to calm down the reporter. Then he takes Aya back
to the main office :
貝克讓警員們壓制住喧鬧的記者們，而他則帶著艾雅離開了演講廳。

Baker : Aya, I thought I told you not to say anything.
貝克：艾雅，我想我早就告訴過妳不要多說任何話。

Aya : I'm telling the truth, sir.
艾雅：我只是說出事實而已，長官。

Baker shouts angrily, striking the desk : That's not the point ! Who's
going to believe you !? You'll only stir up the media and cause people
to panic !
貝克惱怒地吼著，並大力拍了下桌子：這並不是重點！有誰會真的去信妳啊！？
　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　妳只是在徒增市民無謂的恐慌而已！

Daniel : Sir, she was only...
丹尼爾：長官，她只是…

Then someone is calling on the phone. Baker answers.
這時電話突然想起了，貝克只好忍著氣接起電話。

Baker : Baker here...Who ?...What does he want ? Well, put him through
then. This is captain Baker...What ? Meet ?...You'll have to speak up ?
Yes,...what ? Yes, All right.
貝克(電話中)：我是貝克…誰？…他想要些什麼？嗯…讓他通電話吧。
　　　　　　我是署長貝克…什麼？面談？…你要說明這一切嗎？是…什麼？…是，好吧。

Baker holds off the phone : Some Japanese scientist, I think. Couldn't
understand his English too well. He was raving about some mito-
something... Says he's coming over here.
貝克將電話掛上：我猜應該是個日本的科學家打的，他的英文實在有點破。
　　　　　　　　他一直叫嚷著說些什麼什麼粒的東西…另外他還說他馬上要趕過來。

Daniel : Might-o ?
丹尼爾：粒…？

Aya : Is it mitochondria ?
艾雅：是粒線體嗎？

Nix : You mean the thing in the cell that makes energy from oxygen ?
尼克斯：妳是說那種存在於細胞裡頭，負責將氧轉化成能量的物質嗎？

Daniel : Might have heard about that in school.
丹尼爾：好像有在學校裡聽過這東西的樣子。

Aya : That's what Eve had said... That's it's time for the
mitochondria to be set free...
艾雅：Ｅｖｅ所指的就是這個…粒線體解放的時機來臨了…

Nix :
(＊尼克斯在這裡說的話原文沒有寫到，大概就是提到他想起之前有科學家在博物館發表新的演說，而內容剛好合力線體有關)

Daniel : Sir, I'm taking Aya to go talk to the researcher.
丹尼爾：長官，我想和艾雅去找這名研究員談一談。

Baker : Go. Better get there before the media. It may explain that
phone call too.
貝克：去吧，最好能比媒體先一步趕到。說不定還能順道了解一下那通電話的來意呢。

Daniel : Yes, sir. C'mon, Aya.
丹尼爾：是，長官。走吧，艾雅。

Daniel and Aya together gets to the Museum of Natural History where
Hans Klamp - the researcher they mentioned is working. They want to ask
him what he knows about the mitochondria. But over this trip, Daniel and
Aya seem to realize something : Hans Klamp is not just an ordinary
researcher in this incident.
接著丹尼爾和艾雅便一同來到了自然史博物館，並見到了同事提到的的研究員－漢斯˙克蘭普，而他正忙於工作中。兩人試著詢問他知道哪些有關於粒線體的資料，但在經過這次嘗試之後，丹尼爾和艾雅似乎就此體認到了一件事：漢斯˙克蘭普並不是一名單純的研究員。

Finally Aya has found Melissa - Eve in the concert. But it seems now
she can do nothing on her...
最後艾雅終於在音樂會場找到了梅麗莎－也就是Ｅｖｅ，
然而現在的她似乎已無法阻止Ｅｖｅ了……


Eve : The holiday season brings joy to us all...and this Christmas Eve
will be the most special for all.
Ｅｖｅ：美好的節日為我們所有人帶來了歡樂…而這一次的聖誕夜，將會成為有史以來最特　　　　別的一次。


Eve : Special because I will no longer be under the control of a host,
as I have since the dawn of time. Humans are weak-mitochondria can self
evolve. Mitochondria must now take over the nucleus.
Ｅｖｅ：因為我將不再受到主人的支配，從破曉的那一刻起這副身體就已經歸我所有了。
　　　　人類只不過是尚未成熟的粒線體們用來作為進化場所的容器，現在開始細胞核將由　　　　粒線體支配了！

Then Eve continues her terrible magical melody, turning all the
audience into a giant mass of energy slime. One of those is Lorraine -
Daniel's wife and also Ben's mother. But...Ben's not there. Aya is
standing there too, can do nothing...
接著Ｅｖｅ唱起了她那極為不可思議的可曲調，將所有的觀眾全都變成了像是軟泥一般的能量物質。而羅蘭－丹尼爾的前妻、班的媽媽－就在這團物質當中。艾雅雖然人在當場，
卻只能眼睜睜地看著這可怕的一切，無能為力……

Aya : I have to get backstage to stop her.
艾雅：我必須到後台去阻止她！

Maya re-appears again and leads Aya through the back door. She obtains
Eve
這時梅雅又再度出現了，她帶領艾雅來到通往後台的門，並與Ｅｖｅ對上了。

Aya : Why ? Why are you doing this ?
艾雅：為什麼？為什麼你要這麼做？


Eve : You again. But you are too late. You will not ruin my plans as
you did last night.
Ｅｖｅ：又是妳啊，妳來遲了哦。這次妳無法再像上次那樣破壞我的計畫了。

Aya : Stop !
艾雅：站住！

Eve disappears in the sight.
But now, Maya is still there. She leads Aya through the park forest
where a lot of danger are waiting for the young cop. Just a haunted
place !
說著Ｅｖｅ便自舞台上消失了，然而梅雅卻依然待在那兒。
她帶領著艾雅，穿過了一個藏有許多危險在等著這名年輕刑警的公園森林，
一個可怕的地方！

Eventually Aya finds Eve at the end of the trip. The female monster
seems weird.
在解決一路上遇到的阻礙後，艾雅終於找到了Ｅｖｅ，然而這個異魔的神情似乎有點奇怪。

Eve : Your genes are stronger tha I thought. Come my dear, let's go
for a ride. Hahaha !
Ｅｖｅ：妳的基因比我想像的還要強壯了。來吧，讓我們駕車去走走吧。哈哈哈！

Aya accepts her challenge. Eve burns the horse to make it pull the
wheels and run like hell. What a mysterious power ! Then she looks at
Aya. The next battle between the young cop and the mitochondria begins.
已經走到這一步的艾雅決定接受Ｅｖｅ的挑戰。這時Ｅｖｅ突然讓拉車的馬兒燒了起來，
使牠不由得痛苦地拉著輪子奔跑起來。這是多麼詭異的力量啊！
而後Ｅｖｅ緊緊盯住了艾雅，接下來就是一場始祖粒線體與人類刑警之間的戰爭了。

Eve : Why ? Why be on humans side ?
Ｅｖｅ：為什麼？為什麼妳要站在人類那邊？

Aya : Why not ? I'm a human.
艾雅：這是理所當然的，因為我是人類。

Eve : Why are you going with them and not me ?
Ｅｖｅ：比起我來…妳寧可和那些傢伙站在同一邊嗎？

Aya : What ?...
艾雅：什麼意思？…

Eve : It seems you still don't know who I am. Well, if you don't know,
your mitochondria will... That's why you were drawn to the opera.
Ｅｖｅ：看來妳似乎還不曉得我是誰呢。好吧，就算妳不知道，妳的粒線體也應該會明白　
　　　　的…所以妳才會不由自主地到那座劇院去。

Aya : What are you talking about ?
艾雅：你到底在說些什麼？

Eve : Here, let me explain...directly...
Ｅｖｅ：就讓我來解釋吧…直接告訴妳體內的粒線體…

Aya : Stop it !!!
艾雅：住、住手！！

Eve : If we join forces, all the other mitochondria will...
Ｅｖｅ：如果我們能夠聯手，那所有其他的粒線體都不會是我們的對手了…

Aya : S...stop !
艾雅：住…手…！

Eve coldly leaves the trailer in confusion. Aya loses her
consciousness after the collision. She again dreams of her mysterious
past...
Ｅｖｅ冷冷地丟下失控的馬車離開了，而艾雅則在一陣碰撞後陷入昏迷。
她又再一次夢到了她那謎樣的過去……

Daniel : Aya ! Aya ! Answer me !
丹尼爾：艾雅！艾雅！妳快回答我啊！

Daniel is waiting for Aya near the Central Park entrance. He worries
about her and his family : Lorraine and Ben. But at that moment, his
small child runs to the father that surprises him. So Ben has
unintentionally escaped from Eve's plan.
丹尼爾正在中央公園的出口附近焦急地等著艾雅，他擔心她以及自己的家人－羅蘭和班。
然而就在這時，班卻突然出現並且跑向了一臉驚訝的丹尼爾，
看來他似乎是在無意間自Ｅｖｅ的計畫中逃脫了。

Ben : Daddy !
班：爸爸！

Daniel : Ben...! Weren't you to the concert ?
丹尼爾：班…！？你怎麼沒去那場音樂會？

Ben :...I came here with mom, but she...she was all weird...
班：…我是和媽媽一起來的，可是她…她突然變得好奇怪…

Daniel : What do you mean, Ben ?
丹尼爾：你說的是什麼意思，班？

Ben : I came with mom so the three of us could be together.
班：我本來希望找媽媽一起來，這樣我們一家人就可以團聚了。

Daniel : So that's why you came to get me...
丹尼爾：原來…所以你才來找我去…

Ben : Mom went to the stage but... she freaked out...
班：可是當媽媽去到會場附近時…她好像變了個人似的…

Daniel : What do you mean ? Mom freaked out...
丹尼爾：她像變了個人…這是什麼意思？

Ben : I got near the stage and I started to feel sick. I wanted to go
home... Mom wasn't herself, dad... She left and everyone else went
too...!
班：我一靠近會場就開始感到噁心，我想要回家…媽媽已經不是原來的媽媽了，爸…
　　她後來就跟著其他人一起走掉了…！

Daniel : Lorraine...
丹尼爾：羅蘭…

就在這同時，紐約市警局第十七分局也遇上了麻煩。

Baker : Casualities were much worse this time. We can not put the
lives of citizens in jeopardy any longer. We have orders to evacuate all
citizens out of Manhattan. Fortunately, most people are out of the city
for Christmas.
貝克：看來目前的情況似乎越來越糟了，不能任由市民們長期生活在這樣的危險當中。
　　　我們必須下令撤離所有曼哈頓的人民，幸好有不少人是在外地過聖誕節。
　　　

Warner : What do we do, sir ?
華納：那我們要做些什麼呢，長官？

Baker : We will stay and assist in neutralizing Eve.
貝克：我們必須留下來並且協助制服Ｅｖｅ。

Nix : Shouldn't we leave it to the army ?
尼克斯：為何我們不把這件事交給陸軍去處理就好了？


Baker : We're the ones that are supposed to be protecting the city !
貝克：因為保護這座城市正是我們的職責！

At that time, Daniel runs in in a hurry. Aya has been lost.
這時，丹尼爾突然飛快地衝了進來，艾雅失蹤了！

Daniel : Any word from Aya ?
丹尼爾：有沒有艾雅的消息？

Everyone in the office couldn't do nothing either.
可惜辦公室裡的人卻也都幫不上忙

Daniel : Dammit, where could she be !
丹尼爾：該死的，她究竟會在哪裡！

Baker : Daniel, I need you to help evacuate the citizens.
貝克：丹尼爾，我需要你去幫忙疏散市民。

Daniel : She's our only hope against this thing now. I'm going to look
for her !
丹尼爾：艾雅是我們對付目前狀況的唯一希望，我要去找她！

After saying that sentence, Daniel as soon as runs out to do what he
need to do.
說完這句話後，丹尼爾便立刻衝了出去，去做他這時該做的事。

Nix : Shouldn't we stop him, sir ?
尼克斯：我們該不該阻止他呢，長官？

Baker : He's lost Lorraine... He'll find Aya. You two help with the
evacuation.
貝克：他已經失去羅蘭了…就讓他去找艾雅吧。你們兩個負責疏散市民就行了。

Daniel sees his son again. Ben is being with Cathy.
而正急著要離開警局的丹尼爾再次碰到了班，他正和凱西在一起。

Ben : Daddy !
班：爸爸！

Daniel : Ben, I'm sorry... I have to go find Aya.
丹尼爾：班，對不起…我必須去找回艾雅。

Ben : Where'd she go ?
班：她到哪裡去了？

Daniel : I dunno, but she's the only one that can fight the thing that
hurt your mommy.
丹尼爾：我也不知道，但她是唯一可以打敗那個害死你媽媽的傢伙的人了。

Poor child ! Ben is still to small to understand the situation.
可憐的孩子啊！班還太年幼了，他還無法了解這樣殘酷的事。

Daniel asks Cathy : Cath, look after the kid, will you ?
這時丹尼爾向凱西問道：凱西，妳可以幫我照顧這孩子嗎？

Cathy : I will, don't worry.
凱西：放心，交給我吧！

Ben : Daddy...!
班：爸爸…！

Cathy : C'mon, sport. You like dogs ? I'll introduce you to the best
police dog in town.
凱西：來吧，小朋友。你喜歡狗嗎？我帶你去看看全區裡最優秀的警犬吧！

Then she takes Ben to the dog's cage and asks the guard to give it up.
接著凱西便帶領班來到了警犬室，並詢問那兒的守衛能不能將狗狗放出來。

Cathy : Can I show this boy the dog ?
凱西：可以讓這孩子看看狗嗎？

Cop : Sure, let me open the fence.
警員：當然，等我開一下籠子。

Then the cop rotates to the dog : Hey, you got a visitor !
接著警員便將狗狗放出來：嘿！你有客人囉！

Cathy : This is Sheeva.
凱西：牠叫希巴。

The dog is given up, licking Ben's hand. The child seems to like it.
狗狗被放出來後便跑上前舔著班的手，而看來這孩子也很喜歡牠。

Cop : Hey, I think she likes you !
警員：呵，我想牠很喜歡你哦！

Ben : Heh, heh...Hey, that tickles !
班：哈哈哈！…嘿、好癢哦！
... ...

Meanwhile, the evacuation is being executed. The town becomes a mess
of confusion with the sounds of vehicle collisions and raid. Many
dangerous streets are blockaded. There's a passanger who want to pass
the off-limited area. The cops stop him :
在這同時，市民的撤離行動開始執行了。整座城市陷入了一片混亂，
到處都是車子的碰撞聲以及警察們試圖控制狀況的鳴哨聲。
許多較為危險的街道地區都被查封了。
這時，一名想要進到封鎖區的旅客被警察攔了下來：

Cop A : How many times do I gotta tell you ! We're blocked this off !
You won't even find a cat on this street.
警察Ａ：你要我講多少次啊！我們已經封鎖這個地區了！
　　　　就連一隻貓都不可能出現在那裡頭！

Japanese man : I told you, I've already contacted the police about
this matter !
日本男子：我就跟你說我已經和這裡的警察聯絡好要會面了嘛！

Cop A : What ?
警察Ａ：你啥啊？

Japanese man :...Er...uh... I'm not getting anywhere with my
English...
日本男子：呃…呃…唉…靠我的英文根本沒辦法和這裡的人溝通…

Cop B : Hey, you Chinese ?
警察Ｂ：嘿，你是中國人嗎？

Japanese man : No ! I'm Japanese !
日本男子：不！我是日本人！

Cop B : Nanda, nihonjin desuka ?
警察Ｂ：(＊這句是日文)搞什麼，原來是日本人啊？

Japanese man : Oh, yes ! Can you speak Japanese ?
日本男子：對對對！你會說日文？

Cop B : Chotto dake ne. Daredesuka ?
警察Ｂ：(＊同上，日文|)會一點點。你的身分是？

Japanese man : I am Kunihiko Maeda. Er...Japanese...er...aaa...
日本男子：我叫前田邦彥，呃…是日本的…呃…啊啊啊…

Cop A : Hey, if you can't speak the language, go back to your country
! Heh...he...!! (What a rogue guy !)
警察Ａ：喂，如果你連英文都不會講，那就回你自己的國家去啦…喂！…他…！！
　　　　(這傢伙真夠兇的= =)

But something is happening to him...
然而這時，似乎有些怪事發生在這人身上了…

Cop A : U ! Argh !
警察Ａ：嗚！哇啊！

Cop C : Calm down. Take it easy, man. It's bad for your heart.
警察Ｃ：冷靜點，別那麼緊張嘛，老兄！這樣對你的心臟不好喔。


Cop A : Uu ! Argh ! I'm getting... I'm... I'm...hot ! Help !!!
ARGHHHHHHHHHH !
警察Ａ：哇啊啊！我的身體突然…突然…變得好燙！救、救命啊！！！
　　　　呃啊啊啊啊啊－－！！

The cop is burned at once after his last cry.
警員在發出一陣哀嚎後，竟然一瞬間就燒起來了！

Maeda : I guess it's not now or never...
前田：我猜的果然沒錯…

Then the passenger named Maeda runs past the blockade when the cops
don't pay attention to him.
名為前田的旅客便趁著警察們沒時間去注意他的這個空檔，迅速地溜進了封鎖區

Maeda : Spontaneous human combustion. I believe that's correct...
前田：人體自燃現象，絕對錯不了的……

But let's return to our heroine. Where is Aya ? She is dreaming of the
hospital again...
而現在呢，先把注意力拉回我們的女主角身上吧。
艾雅究竟在哪呢？她又再次夢見那家醫院了……

Aya : ...? Where...? Hospital...?
艾雅：這裡是…？醫院…？

Then...she wakes up in Maeda's apartment.
緊接著她便醒過來了…在前田的公寓裡。

Maeda : Oh...! You're finally awake !
前田：啊…！妳終於醒了！
＜凡艾：前田你的英文不是很破嗎?怎麼跟艾雅哈拉的時候就變得這麼溜ＸＤ？＞

Aya : Who are you ?
艾雅：你是誰？

Maeda : I'm...Kunihiko Maeda. I'm a scientist from Japan.
前田：我叫前田邦彥…是從日本來的科學家

Some voice sounds : He found you... It's Daniel coming in.
這時有個聲音說道：是他找到妳的…
原來是丹尼爾走進來了。

Aya : Daniel !
艾雅：丹尼爾！

Daniel : There's no one out there but cops... It's a ghost town. Never
seen anything like it. Pretty creepy, if you ask me...
丹尼爾：現在外頭除了警察外沒有任何人了…簡直像個幽靈城似的，
　　　　我還真沒碰過像這樣的情形呢。如果妳想問我感覺的話，
　　　　只有毛骨悚然到了極點可以形容了…


Aya : Where's Eve ?! What happened to the people in Central Park ?
艾雅：Ｅｖｅ在哪！？中央公園裡的人都發生什麼事了？

Daniel : Ben was okay...but... The rest of the audience... Well, they
just... disappeared.
丹尼爾：班還好…但…剩下的觀眾就…唉，他們都…消失了。

Aya :...
艾雅：……

Maeda : Disappeared ? You mean they weren't ignited ?
前田：消失？你是說他們沒被燒起來？

Aya seems hurt to say the next sentence.
這時的艾雅看起來很痛苦…為的是她接下來要說的話。

Aya : They all melted into slime... and became... one big mass...
艾雅：他們全都被溶化成了黏液…而且還又變成了…一個巨大的團塊…

Daniel :...
丹尼爾：……

Maeda : That's something new... Nothing like that happened in Japan.
前田：看來是個新的事件…像那樣的狀況並沒有在日本發生過。

Aya : Japan ?
艾雅：日本？

前田：好幾年前，日本曾經發生過類似的事件。只是規模沒有像你們這兒的那麼大。

艾雅：你說什麼！？

丹尼爾：喂！快把詳細情形告訴我們！

Maeda : It's all started when a scientist's wife was involved in a car
accident. The scientist tried to culture her liver cells in order to
keep her alive. The scientist named those cells...Eve...
前田：事情是發生於有個科學家的妻子被捲入了一場車禍。
　　　之後科學家為了延續妻子的生命，便試著將她的肝細胞培養起來。
　　　而科學家將那些肝細胞稱為…Ｅｖｅ…

Aya : Eve ?!
艾雅：Ｅｖｅ！？

Maeda : The liver cells multipled and her mitochondria eventually took
over her physical body.
前田：然而那些肝細胞卻不斷的增殖。最後，那名夫人的粒線體便完全侵佔她的肉體了。

Aya :...!
艾雅：……！

Maeda : After acquiring the scientist's sperm, Eve tried to give birth
to an ultimate being.
前田：而在獲得了科學家的精子之後，Ｅｖｅ企圖要生出一個完全體…

Aya : Ultimate Being...? What kind of "being"...?
艾雅：完全體…？那究竟什麼樣的物質…？

Maeda : "She", the being who mutated from the liver cells, couldn't
maintain her body for long. By the way, before the car accident
occurred, the wife had registered to have her organs donated.
前田：但在這個時候，
　　　那個由肝細胞突變而來的”她”卻發現到夫人的肉體已經快無法支撐下去了。
　　　另外說一下，那夫人在車禍發生之前就已經事先登錄過器官捐贈了。

Maeda : So after the accident, her kidneys were transplanted into a
young girl... And Eve implanted a fertilized egg in the young girl who

Then Maeda rotates towards Aya.
接著前田轉過身來面對艾雅。

Maeda : After hearing about this incident, I had to fly over here.
前田：而在聽說了這裡發生的事後，我就立刻趕過來了。

Daniel : What the hell is going on here ?
丹尼爾：為什麼那個怪物會來到這裡？

Maeda : I wish I could explain more.
前田：抱歉，我也很希望我能解釋這個問題。

Something's wrong with Aya. She is suddenly quiet like something is
blocking her heart.
這時艾雅似乎有點不大對勁了，她突然沉默了下來，彷彿有什麼東西揪住了她的心。

Daniel :...Aya, are you okay ?
丹尼爾：艾雅？妳還好嗎？

Aya startles.
艾雅嚇了一跳。

Aya : Yeah... I'm fine...
艾雅：呃…我很好…

Daniel : I thought that monster had got a hold of you ! Thought it was
too late...
丹尼爾：我看那些怪物已經把妳迷住囉！不過他似乎來晚了點哦…
(*這句我不確定翻得對不對，如果沒錯的話那意思大概就是在糗艾雅了，畢竟在美國25歲還沒有男朋友那就有點......)

The young cop becomes shy and silly. She feels a gentle pain.
一聽人家這麼說，艾雅不由得羞了起來。這時她突然感到有些苦惱。

Aya : When I felt Eve... Something inside of me felt like it was
being...
艾雅：每當我感覺到Ｅｖｅ的時候…在我體內的某些東西，都會跟著讓我覺得好像快要…

Maeda : You felt you were about to be ignited, correct ?
前田：覺得自己好像快燒起來了，對吧？

Daniel : No, she's... Well, she's the only one that isn't affected.
丹尼爾：不是吧，艾雅她是…呃…她是唯一一個沒有受到影響的人。

Maeda : What ?!
前田：什麼！？

The Japanese scientist seems to be thinking...
前田似乎陷入了沉思…

Maeda : I.. I...don't understand.
前田：這…我不太明白。

Aya : I... I think I may be a monster...like her !
艾雅：我…我想我恐怕也是個怪物吧…就和她一樣！

She begans to worry everyone after hiding the giant impression in her
heart from the incident.
其實，那幾次事件所帶來的巨大衝擊一直都隱藏在艾雅的心中。
這也讓她不由得開始擔心起大家…

Daniel : What ?! What are you saying, Aya ?!
丹尼爾：啥！？妳在說些什麼啊，艾雅！？

Aya : I don't know. What if... What if I end up by killing you ?!
艾雅：我也不知道啊！要是我…要是我到最後連你們都殺了那怎麼辦！？

Daniel tries to comfort her with his way : Aw, shut up ! You know
that's not...
丹尼爾是試用自己的方式安慰她：別再說了！妳明知道不會有那種事…
(*嗯.....其實應該直接翻叫她閉嘴的，可是我不忍心對Aya那麼兇......QQ)

Aya again is being confused.
然而艾雅又再度慌亂起來了…

Aya : Please, Daniel ! I don't know ! I just don't know anymore !
Please go away from me !
艾雅：拜託，丹尼爾！我不知道！我真的不知道！請你們離我遠一點吧！

Daniel : Aya...
丹尼爾：艾雅…

Aya : Please...
艾雅：拜託…

Maeda has a little understood what she is thinking.
這時，前田有點了解到艾雅在掛念些什麼了

Maeda : Yes, I understand your point.
前田：我明白妳的意思了。

Then he gets out of the room and closes the door.
於是他離開了房間，並將房門關上。

Daniel : Hey ! Where do you think you're going ?!
丹尼爾：唉！妳到底是想到哪裡去了嘛！？

Aya : Even if I am a monster, I don't ever want to kill you,
Daniel...please...! I...I could never forgive myself if I
killed...you...
艾雅：就算我真的是個怪物，我也絕不會想殺你啊！丹尼爾…拜託…！
　　　如果我…殺了你…那我永遠都不會原諒我自己…

Daniel : Aya... You're no monster.
丹尼爾：艾雅…妳並不是怪物。

He comes to Aya, trying to encourage her.
他走近艾雅，試著想要鼓勵她。

Daniel : You're my best partner, Aya Brea ! I'll be your side...
always, Aya...
丹尼爾：妳是我最好的夥伴，艾雅˙布雷亞！無論如何…我都會站在妳這邊，艾雅…

Then he slowly goes out, leaving alone. What is Aya thinking now ?
接著他便慢慢地走了出去，獨自離開了。而這時的艾雅又在想些什麼呢？

Aya :...When I touched Eve... That feeling... Was it Maya ? But Maya
died in the car crash with mom... No, it just couldn't be...!
艾雅：每當和Ｅｖｅ接觸的時候…那種感覺…是梅雅？
　　　但梅雅明明就和媽媽一起在那場車禍中過世了啊…
　　　不…這應該是不可能的…！
