What's new
- Rewrote all portions of this mod, deleted ancient entries, optimized many functions.
- Quest alias method to grab NPCs around the player has been scrapped. FEC 3.0 now dynamically grabs any actor that is loaded.
- Added decomposition effect, where dead NPCs will undergo the basic stages of decomposition and attract fly and blowfly swarms

Fire
- Added heat refraction effect when corpses burn
- Added fire impact decals when corpses burn
- Burning corpses can damage anyone who steps on them
- Corpses don't burn when in water, instead they will boil and steam
- Brand new charred body textures
- New soot shader, increased from 1K to 2K
- New charred effect shader
- Normal maps are redone using BC7 compression
- Tweaks to fire shaders
Frost
- Fixed bug where subtitles would get stuck when frozen
- Fixed bug where enemies would not immediately die when frozen (currently this fix only affects NPCs)
- Frozen enemies can be thawed by setting them on fire
- Frozen NPCs can be shattered using Unrelenting Force
- Made shattered bodyparts more consistent
Shock
- Fixed incorrect skinning on female skeletons
- Spasm duration is now consistent across effects
Poison
- Fixed brown faced bug on poisoned actors

Misc
- Effects are now properly reset and reapplied when reloading saves or re-entering cells.
- Added "Reset actors around player" in MCM to reset every actor's visuals back to default.
- Fixed FEC's invisible actor from being detected by NPCs.
- Tweaks to internal functions.

- You can continue to burn/freeze/electrocute corpses even after they had effects applied
- Added several MCM options to reset effects on a single NPC/loaded NPCs/all tracked NPCs.

Fire
- Added ability to char drained corpses.
Frost
- Ice blocks are removed when burning frozen corpses.
Decomposition
- fixed bug where flies would continue to stack on themselves, causing a massive performance loss.
Poison
- fixed bug where hagravens never got poisoned.

Misc
- Fixed cases where poison/burning skeletons/draugr would occasionally cause a CTD.
- Fixed instance where effects would not reset properly when switching saves and NPCs had different effects in one save.
- Refactored code and removed some assets that were not being used anymore.

What's New
- Reworked MCM with new features and options. Some settings may be set to default again.
- Added global trigger chance setting in the MCM
- Added elemental impact decals to several effects

Fire
- New fire effect - vaporise (for NPCs/creatures). Master level spells will instantly vaporise enemies when automatic mode is on.
- Re-added soot being applied to armor when burning corpses.
- Underwear gets burned off.
- Reworked skin disintegration effects to be more consistent with each other
- Removed old charred/skeletonized effects.
Frost
- Improved normal maps for frozen bodyparts
- New look for ice blocks
- Fixed bug where frozen NPCs would have no name when reset.
Shock
- Added shock damage
- Exploded bodyparts are now tinted properly
- Shock effects can be re-applied to non charred/skeletonized dead enemies
- Fixed bug where additional shock sounds were applied during the char/x-ray effect
Soul Trap
- reworked soul trap effect to be less subtle and more glowy

Misc
- Improved MCM splash screen
- Charred/drained/skeletonized skin only gets applied when equipped armor shows skin.
- Fixed instance where reloading saves with charred/drained NPCs could cause crashes
- Spells get applied to the player/NPCs using the helper dll, to make future updates easier
- Refactored folder structure
- Refactored all effect scripts

- Added new frost effect for creatures - they literally turn to ice with new multi-layer parallax shader swaps
- Poison/soultrap vfx for humanoid creatures (optional : requires Realistic Skin Shader mod series)
- Removed decomposition effects since it was a hassle to maintain , and not many liked it

Fire
- Added SOS/CBBE support - underwear and SOS addons will be vaporised.
- Fixed bug where beast races would equip humanoid armor - they'll use the old shader effects for now
Frost
- New multilayer parallax shader effects for certain frozen creatures
- NPCs should shatter faster
- Freezing NPCs no longer results in "missing 3D" papyrus log errors
- Fixed rendering bug with female frozen bodyparts
- Optimised frost explosion - cut particle density in half while maintaining same visuals
- Redid bodypart physics so they collide with each other
- Redid frozen collision to be more accurate
- Redid female bodypart normal maps
Shock
- Added MCM toggle for dropped weapons
- Shock spasm takes mass into account
- Added back blood decals to pouches/satchels
Poison
- Poison effects for humanoid creatures (falmer/giant/hagraven/riekling)
- Added more options to customise poison color and intensity in MCM options, including photoshop blend modes
- Any changes to MCM settings will affect all poisoned NPCs instantly
- Fixed bug where colors would be applied twice, resulting in bright purple NPCs

Misc
- Changed armor slot masks to be more consistent with each other. 44, 46, 49, 53, 56, 59 are used by FEC.
- Fixed cases where skin revealing armor using custom slots would not turn invisible (fire/drain)
- Fixed NPC inventories from completely resetting when effects were removed
- Fixed crashes when setting hair colors on temporary NPCs
- Removed racial multi-membrane shader changes, as that apparently does nothing. Moved spell edit processing to the FEC Helper dll.
- "Statistics" MCM option now updates faster
- Refactored pretty much everything and removed three years worth of unused mod entries.
